Privacy Curtains
Customize Your Privacy Curtains
Our DIY privacy curtain system gives you the freedom to adapt the nesting box to your flock and your style. Instead of being locked into one permanently pre-cut opening, you can adjust the entrance size to suit larger or smaller breeds, choose your own fabrics and materials, and make replacements whenever needed.
The first curtain takes a little extra time to measure, cut and fit, but once you learn the simple process, it becomes your template for future curtains. From then on, you can easily create new versions in different colors, patterns and materials, experiment with different entrance shapes, or adapt the fabric to the season — lighter materials for warmer months and heavier options when you prefer more coverage in cooler weather.
You can also make the nesting box feel more personal: match the curtains to your coop, choose a fabric you love, or let your partner or kids pick a pattern they like. And if the first entrance opening does not suit your hens perfectly, simply use another piece of material and adjust the size or shape.
For the best, easiest, and fastest setup, follow the step-by-step instructions in the assembly manual and especially the detailed assembly video.
Use Your First Curtain as a Template
Once you've made your first curtain, keep it as your pattern. From then on, simply trace and reproduce it in whatever fabric, material, color or print you want — adjusting the entrance shape whenever needed.
One Nesting Box. As Many Looks as You Want.
These are just a few examples. Once you have your template, you can create new curtains in virtually any fabric, color, pattern or material that suits your coop and your style.
